History was made today as the Central Executive Committee (CENCO) of the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship(NCCF), Rivers State chapter handed over to the Transitional Executive Committee (TRANSCO).
In his words of exhortation at the hand over service,Rev(Dr) Felix Akara urged the incoming executives to be sensitive because their new responsibilities speak volume of their future.
The new Transitional Executive Committee include: Asst General Secretary: Ilodiaya Ifunaya, Transport & Organising Secretary: Shwandang Maktong Danjuma, Sisters’/Welfare cord: Ogunyemi Ibukunoluwa, Prayer Secretary: Lawal Vincent, Evangelism Secretary: Onileowo Olamide.
Bible study Secretary: Imorhai Oshioke, Treasurer: Adegbola Oyindamola, Financial Secretary: Esan Ifeoluwa Valentina;Music Director: Oladele Olaide, Publicity/Editorial Secretary: Osoria Innocent, Drama Director: Fajegbe Oluwasegunfumi.
Chief Usher: Omoboyede Temitope, Chief Medical Director: Okorie Amarachi, Assistant Music Director: Omoyeni Abidemi Zoe, Assistant Transport & Organising: Adenuga Peter, Assistant Sisters’/Asst Welfare cord: Adesotu Yvonne and Assistant Evangelism Secretary Omolowo Precious
In an interview with the state President, Bro Francis Ujadu Joshua now state chairman who wished the CENCO well in their future endeavors, urged the TRANSCO to be ready to render selfless service
“For me,it is a mixed feeling of joy and on the other side I’m very emotional right now. My prayer for the outgoing excos is that God would settle them early and their reward will not elude them”
“For the incoming excos,I’m not telling them that all is going to be easy,but the grace of God will be sufficient for them” he said.
The state General Secretary, Bro Umunna Heaven, while distinguishing between the CENCO and TRANSCO said “NCCF is in two phases however,the CENCO is usually chosen from the batch A corpers and they are saddled with the responsibility of leading the fellowship as led by the president and general secretary.A month or two to the end of their service year,they hand over to the TRANSCO.”
“Meanwhile,the TRANSCO is saddled with the responsibility of upholding the values,goals, visions of NCCF till the next batch A corpers would come and the new set of CENCO will be chosen among them.”
“If orientation camp holds in March this year,there would be state delegates in April of which they would be prayerfully considered to be CENCO” he said
Earlier,Papa Francis equally enjoined all corpers that would be working as Ad-Hoc Staff in the forth coming elections to be vigilant and shun partisan politics.
Recall that the outgoing executives were handed over to on 26th August, 2018.
